Fun and fidget friendly! Learn how to make a spinner ring and explore the many possible variations of this kinetic ring in this one day workshop.
Students will learn to hammer texture, twist wire, saw, form and solder to make a wide ring in sterling silver with 1-3 spinner bands in copper, brass and/or nickel. Combine all these together for one beautiful and entertaining spinner ring!
Materials for one Spinner Ring is included in class price.
Some previous silversmithing/jewelry experience is preferred but not necessary.

Feb 11 - Valentine's Hearts - MAKE + SIP CLASS

MAKE this Valentine’s Day extra special by learning something new, and making a sweet little hammered heart necklace for your significant other! A token forged by you will mean more to her than any sweet card you might find on a shelf at Target: we promise! Plus, you'll get to use hammers and torches, so it's a win- win!
Hammered heart pendant class fee includes a 16" or 18" Sterling Silver chain, and pendants will be made from solid Sterling Silver.

Textured Ring + Bar Pendant + Layered Two-Tone Earrings
*Class projects subject to change. Instructor will offer alternative projects (using the same techniques) to students who have previously taken Level One to allow them to continue to hone these skills.
Over a 5 week period, Students make a ring, a pendant and a pair of earrings. They will learn the following during these projects:
Materials for one sterling silver ring, and copper and brass for the other projects are included in the class fee. *If student wishes to work exclusively in sterling silver, there will be additional material fees.
Prerequisite: No experience needed.
Students will be introduced to the basics of silversmithing, and once this level one course has been completed, students may graduate to any of our level two classes.

Feb 24 - Cheese Markers - MAKE + SIP CLASS

Join us for this super fun afternoon of making super cute, super cheesy CHEESE SERVICE ornaments — stickers — labels— allergen warning pokers — whatever you want to call them. Next time you have friends over, you’ll not only be prepared to entertain, but you’ll impress everyone with your newly acquired metal DIY skills.
Each student will make a set of three in brass or copper.
This course is a perfect one for a fun, one of a kind night out with the girls.
Absolutely no prior experience necessary!
BYOW! Students are invited to bring their own bottle of wine to sip on while they work.

March 18 - Herb Markers - MAKE + SIP CLASS
Saturday, March 18th, 11am-3pm
Celebrate the coming of spring with us! Put your green thumbs to work & join us for a fun day of making custom herb markers. Or, if you have brown thumbs like I do, think of these as the cutest little plant grave markers you’ve ever seen! Or — reminders to re-plant seeds for round two.
Choose from a variety of plants, or make your own design to match your garden. Students will learn to saw markers out of raw copper and brass sheet metal, and will each make three markers to take home that will last for years to come.
Each student will fabricate three herb markers during this class.
Absolutely no prior experience necessary!

Mar 30 - May 4 : Intermediate / Advanced Stone Setting - Level Two Course - Session 5 - evening class

Intermediate / Advanced Stone Setting
This Level Two course will cover more advanced bezel setting techniques for cabochons as well as basic tube setting faceted stones.
Materials are not included and material fees will be assessed during class, and are based on individual student's metal choices and project requirements. We will have raw materials for purchase onsite, or you're welcome to bring your own.
Prerequisite: This class is designed for students who have already familiarized themselves with the basics of metalsmithing and stone setting -- having completed at least one Level One Course at MAKE MADE or equivalent experience via Make + Sip Courses or other courses taught by Danielle or Katie.
