Copper Mule Mug
These 12 oz heirloom quality Mule Mugs are completely handmade -- formed and hammered -- from thick, 100% recycled solid Copper. They are handmade by artisans in Mexico, and designed in Texas.
These objects are made in the traditional way, in a method that began began in Mesoamerica and has been practiced and passed along continuously for over 1,000 years. These mugs are finely made from thick, 100% Copper, unlike those other mules on the market. They may age and patina with time, but will not lose their copper color like plated cups. They are ergonomically designed, with a nice weight to them.
Copper, with its warm glow and inherent patinas that change over time, has been a part of the human hearth and civilization for thousands of years, used in ancient health, healing and spiritual practices around the world for a wide range of benefits. It is a naturally clean material with strong antibacterial, antimicrobial and antiviral properties.
Sold individually. A pair makes a perfect gift set coupled with our Copper 8" Tray.
Damascus Collection Mammoth Bone 4" Liner Lock Knife with Clip
Damascus collection 4" liner lock knife with clip featuring mammoth bone crafted by Santa Fe Stoneworks in New Mexico. This knife has a core of VG-10 steel with 16 layers of stainless steel on each side to produce a rust free Damascus look blade.
As beautiful as it is practical, this heirloom quality tool is something that will be appreciated for years to come.
Damascus Steel is characterized by it's strength, edge holding ability, and it's dramatic appearance. The Damascus Steel used in our knives comes from Japan and is called "Sanmai Damascus" or Sandwich Damascus. There is a core of vg-10 steel with 16 layers of stainless steel on each side to produce a rust free Damascus look blade. Damascus is created by forge welding many layers of steel together and repeatedly creating pattern by removing or deforming the material and then drawing the layers down in successive stages. It is a long, labor intensive process that results in a unique look that is often specific to the individual maker.
These 4" closed Liner Lock knives are the most affordable Damascus knives we offer and have a 3" blade.
The material in these knives is durable, fossilized Woolly Mammoth Bone. Originating from Siberia, this material is over 10-15,000 years old.
Woolly Mammoth Bones were used as construction material for dwellings by both Neanderthals and modern Humans during the ice age. Bones were made into various tools, furniture and musical instruments. Large Bones, such as shoulder bones, were also used to cover dead human bodies when buried.
Steel is the traditional 11th year anniversary -- and nothing says durability and timelessness like Stainless.
