What is Cloisonné Enameling?

Talin creates her pieces using a unique process called Cloisonné Enameling. To create this piece, she inlayed fine silver wire on top of a clear layer of enamel (ground glass). She then began a process of layering enamel on top of enamel which would covered her wire. Once the enamel had reached the top of her wire, she ground away and sanded her piece to create a finished smooth pendant.
