Come fabricate your very own hammered hoop earrings from scratch!
In this fun-filled private class, students will work with Katie Poterala to learn to texture, form, solder, and finish a pair of hoops in solid sterling silver or solid 14K yellow gold. Students will be introduced to some of the most basic smithing techniques. Absolutely no prior experience necessary!
Your choice of metal:
Gold hoops -- approximately 1/2" to 3/4" diameter.
Silver hoops -- choose whatever size you prefer -- up to 2.5" diameter.
*Sterling hoops will be made with 14G wire, for sturdy solid earrings. Silver hoops will have silver posts.
*Gold hoops are made with slightly more delicate wire, and are also solid. Gold hoops will have gold posts.*
*Silver earrings shown in images.
BYOW! Students are invited to bring their own bottle of wine to sip on while they work.
Student Cancellation:
Due to the small class sizes and demand for each seat, if you are unable to attend a class for any reason, please notify us as soon as possible to allow another student to register for the class.
Please note, we cannot offer refunds for student cancellations, but we can offer credit to be applied toward a future workshop based on the time frame in which you have notified us of your cancellation.
Low-Enrollment Cancellation:
Workshop cancellations are decided three days before the start date. In the rare event that MAKE MADE must cancel a workshop due to insufficient enrollment, currently enrolled students will have the option to have the entire class fee refunded or held as credit for future workshops.
